Land, and Leasehold Estates or Interests in Land taken, and Crown Land set apart for Public Works

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for public works and that the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Arthur David Laidman Shaw, of Awanui, Farmer, under and by virtue of Renewable Lease No. 2074, and that the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Edgar Sydney Henry Hooper, of Aongatete, Farmer, under and by virtue of lease under section four of the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act, 1915, Volume 612, folio 123 (Auckland Registry), and that the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Adam Lyle McKee, of Owhango, Farmer, under and by virtue of lease under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act, 1915, Volume 24A, folio 294 (Wellington Registry), are hereby taken for public works, and that the Crown land described in the Fifth Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a public work; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
