Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 18th February, 1944.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 27th March, 1944.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 29th March, 1944, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements (if any).

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
TOWN LAND
Raetihi Borough.—Makotuku Survey District
SECTIONS 5, 6, and 23, Town of Raetihi Extension No. 1: Area, 2 acres 0 roods 31 perches. Capital value, £30; half-yearly rent, 15s.
Weighted with £12 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising felling, grassing, and fencing.
These sections are situated in the Borough of Raetihi, about a quarter of a mile from the post-office and school, and three-quarters of a mile from the railway-station. The land, which is flat to undulating, is suitable for a stock paddock.

Section 59, Town of Raetihi Extension No. 1: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 29 perches. Capital value, £30; half-yearly rent, 15s.

This section is situated fronting Alexander Road, one mile and a half from the railway-station and three-quarters of a mile from the post-office. The land is level to easy undulating, divided by a creek.

This section is situated in the Borough of Raetihi, one mile and a half from the railway-station and one mile from the post-office. The land rises to a ridge from the road and falls away steeply at the back. It is suitable only as a stock paddock.

This section is situated on the Akatarawa Road, two miles and a half from Upper Hutt and half a mile from the main highway. The land rises from a gentle slope to a fairly steep knob, all covered in gorse and rubbish. Upper Hutt Borough water-supply is available. The section is suitable for a week-end cottage-site.
