Notice of Resolution of Opticians Board
Pursuant to Regulation 8 of the Practising Opticians Regulations 1942 (Serial number 1942/343), the following resolutions of the Opticians Board have been approved by me, and I accordingly direct the publication of the terms thereof in the Gazette as follows:—
(1) Any registered optician may use in reference to himself in any notice or advertisement relating to his calling, services, or wares as an optician, the descriptions—
“Registered Optician” or “Optician” or the abbreviated description “Regd. Optician”.
(2) Any registered optician who is the holder of any of the examination qualifications set out below may use in reference to himself in any notice or advertisement relating to his calling, services, or wares as an optician the description of the qualification he holds in the words set out below as aforesaid or the abbreviation thereof set out opposite such description:—

Medical Supplies Notice 1943, No. 3
Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Medical Supplies Emergency Regulations 1939, I, Michael Herbert Watt, Medical Supplies Controller, do hereby give notice as under:—

This notice may be cited as the Medical Supplies Notice 1943, No. 3, and shall come into force on the day following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

The Medical Supplies Notice 1942, No. 3,* and the Medical Supplies Notice 1942, No. 4†, are hereby amended by omitting from the Schedule to each of the said notices the words—
“4. Camphor, natural and synthetic”. -
Nothing in the last preceding paragraph hereof shall affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation to the notices therein mentioned committed before this notice comes into force.

Taking of Fish for Sale
A. N. Kitto, 2 Memorial Avenue, Timaru, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the 42 ft. 20 h.p. engined vessel “Elsie Evans” (not yet registered), using long lines, hand-lines, and drag-nets, catches to be landed at Timaru.
A. W. Robson, 14 Coonor Road, Timaru, and T. Robson, Landsborough Road, Timaru, have applied for licenses to permit them to operate the fishing-vessel “May,” TU. 112, using trawl-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Timaru.
R. H. Burns, 17 Clyde Street, Timaru, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Kiwi” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Timaru.
J. G. Sutherland, 168 Church Street, Timaru, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license in respect of the fishing-vessel “Seaforth,” TU. 3, to permit him to use Danish seine-nets.
A. J. Anderson and F. E. Versey, both of Kowhai Road, Feilding, have applied for licenses to permit them to operate the 33 ft. 30 h.p. engined fishing-launch “Sunbeam” (not yet registered), using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Tangimoana.
