BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the
Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared
to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such
reserve shall hereafter form part of the Wainui Domain, and be
managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the
Wainui Domain Board.

reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Akaroa :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of
the County of Akaroa, in trust, for quarry purposes.

1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by
Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed by a majority
of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for any
proposed district, constitute and declare any area of land not less
than one thousand acres a rabbit district under and for the purposes
of Part II of the said Act :
