CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL RATES CONSOLIDATION
IT is hereby publicly notified that the Christchurch City Council
at a special meeting held in the City Council Chambers,
194 Manchester Street, Christchurch, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday,
the 2nd day of August, 1943, passed the following resolution:
"In pursuance of the powers vested in it by section 3 of the
Christchurch City Empowering and Special Rates Consolidation
Act, 1941, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves, by way
of special order, to make and levy an annually recurring rate on a
uniform basis over the whole City of Christchurch (i.e., a consolidated
rate on all rateable property within the city) of one penny
one hundred and eighty-two thousand one hundred and fifty-nine
two hundred and fifty thousandths (ld. 182159/250000ths) of a
penny in the pound on the unimproved value, in lieu of the several
special rates heretofore levied over the whole City of Christchurch
or over any defined portion of portions thereof, to meet the annual
charges payable in respect of the loans referred to in Schedule A
hereunder, together with the Christchurch City Council's liability
for the whole or part of the annual charges on all loans raised over
districts which have heretofore formed part of the Heathcote and/or
Waimairi Counties, such loans being listed in Schedule B hereunder.
