NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A PUBLIC WORK

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the closing of a road and the construction of a new road in lieu thereof—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the first part of the Schedule hereto is required to be taken and that portion of the land described in the second part of the Schedule hereto is required to be stopped: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken and that portion of the road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situated in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land or by the stopping' of such part of the road who may have any well-grounded objection to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such land or to the stopping of such road must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice—namely, the 14th day of September, 1943—to the County Clerk at the County Council Chambers, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of Mayo Bros., Limited (in Voluntary Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry dated 9th September, 1943, in the minute-book of the above-named company the following special resolution was duly passed :—

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. Turner Smith, Public Accountant, Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

All persons having claims against the company are requested to render accounts for same with full particulars to the undersigned not later than 30th September, 1943.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

NOTICE is hereby given that A. W. Paine (Kai Iwi), Limited, has changed its name to A. W. Paine, Limited, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 15th day of September, 1943, cancelled the registry of Loyal Waitakaruru Lodge, No. 9575, of the Auckland District of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New Zealand) Friendly Society (Register No. 312(5)/75), held at Waitakaruru, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
