The Hamilton Bread Delivery Notice 1943
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Bread Delivery Notice 1943.

This notice shall come into force on the Monday following its publication in the Gazette.

The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district.
SCHEDULE
HAMILTON BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“The district” means the area of the Borough of Hamilton : “Minister” means the Minister of Transport : “The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3385 : “Wholesale purchaser”, means either—
(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in weight ; or
(b) A hospital, hotel, military camp, or similar institution requiring large quantities of bread daily.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme, there shall be a committee as follows:—
Hamilton Bread Zoning Committee—
(a) Those two members appointed by the Hamilton Borough Council under clause (2), paragraph (a), of the Milk Scheme :
(b) One member appointed by the parties to the scheme :
(c) The Zoning Officer for North Island.
(3) (a) The members to be appointed by the Hamilton Borough Council under clause (2) of this scheme shall be appointed by resolution of the Council as soon as may be after the coming into force of this scheme.
(b) Any committee member appointed by the said Council may in like manner be removed from office.
(4) Any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
(5) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any other committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(6) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(7) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(8) It shall be a condition of this scheme that bread may be delivered within the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.
(9) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the premises to which they may deliver bread are as follows:—
