Notification of Approval of Rules.—South Canterbury Acclimatization
Society
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 10th August, 1943.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 25 of the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I hereby notify that two
copies of the amended rule made by the South Canterbury Accli-
matization Society on the 31st May, 1943, have been forwarded to
me, and such amended rule was approved on the 10th day of August,
1943.

The South Island Seed Potatoes Control Order 1943
Pursuant to the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations
1939, the Minister of Agriculture doth hereby order and
direct as follows.
ORDER

  1. This Order may be cited as the South Island Seed Potatoes
    Control Order 1943, and shall come into force on the 14th day of
    August, 1943.
  2. In this Order the term "seed potatoes" means potatoes that
    are sold or intended for sale as "seed potatoes."

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
3. (1) Except as provided in the next succeeding subclause,
this Order applies with respect to all seed potatoes grown in the
South Island and sold or intended for sale to any person carrying
on business in the North Island as a wholesaler or retailer of potatoes,
or as a commercial grower of potatoes.
(2) Nothing in this Order shall apply with respect to any seed
potatoes that have been shipped from the South Island before the
date of the commencement of this Order.

RESTRICTIONS ON SALE AND SHIPMENT OF SEED POTATOES TO WHICH
THIS ORDER APPLIES
4. While this Order remains in force no person carrying on
business in the South Island as a grower or wholesaler of potatoes
shall, except with the consent of the Primary Industries Controller,
sell any potatoes to which this Order applies to any person carrying
on business in the North Island as a wholesaler or retailer of potatoes
or as a commercial grower of potatoes nor, except with the like
consent, shall any such person consign any such potatoes, or permit
or cause any such potatoes to be consigned, from any port in the
South Island to any port in the North Island.
5. Where any potatoes to which this Order applies have, before
the commencement of this Order, been sold to any person carrying
on business as a wholesaler or retailer or as a commercial grower of
potatoes in the North Island, but have not then been shipped from
the South Island, the contract of sale shall be deemed to be revoked
by this Order unless delivery of the potatoes is permitted by the
Controller under this Order.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of
certain Grades
Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 3rd August, 1943.
Pursuant to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing
Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose
bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered
to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial Grade and Commercial
Grade are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st August to 31st
August, 1943:

The Wanganui Milk Delivery Notice 1943
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice
as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Wanganui Milk Delivery
    Notice 1943.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following
    publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided
    for the said district.

SCHEDULE
THE WANGANUI MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise
requires,
The “Bread Scheme” means the Wanganui Bread Delivery
Scheme, 1942, as published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the 23rd day of December, 1942, at page 3183:
“The district” means the City of Wanganui as indicated by
zones marked on the plan:
“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the
purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport
Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3400:
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport:
“Zone” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.
(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this
scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following
members:
(a) Those two members appointed by the Wanganui City
Council under clause (2), paragraph (a), of the Bread
Scheme:
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme:
(c) The Zoning Officer for North Island.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the com-
mittee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment
in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and
investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme,
to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the
committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its
own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for
amending this scheme.
