All that portion of the County of Waipawa, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the County of Waipawa (New Zealand Gazette, 1930, page 2684) at its intersection with a point in line with the northern side of Upper Otawhao Road; then easterly to and along the northern side of that road to the eastern boundary of Block I, Takapau Survey District; then generally southerly along the eastern boundary of Blocks I and V, Takapau Survey District, to the northern side of Lower Otawhao Road; then easterly along the northern side of Lower Otawhao Road to and across to the eastern side of the old Napier-Wellington Road in Block VI, Takapau Survey District; then southerly along the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 1046; then south-easterly to and along the southern boundaries of the said Lot 5 on the said D.P. 1046, Lot 6, D.P. 972, and Section 7, Whenuahou D E No. 1 Block, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 7; then across a public road to the northernmost point of Lot 1, D.P. 1925; then southerly, easterly, and northerly along the boundaries of the said Lot 1 on the said D.P. 1925 to its easternmost point; then by a right line to a point on the boundary of the County of Waipawa, being the northernmost point of part Section 1, Block XI, Takapau Survey District; then southerly, westerly, and northerly along the boundary of the County of Waipawa aforesaid to the point of commencement.
All that portion of the County of Waipukurau, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the County of Waipukurau (New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 3849) at the westernmost point of part Section 1, Block XI, Takapau Survey District; then proceeding in an easterly and southerly direction along the northern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 2162, Lot 4, D.P. 4265, the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 5, and the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4265, to the boundary of the County of Waipukurau; then in a westerly and northerly direction along the boundary of the County of Waipukurau aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
All that portion of the County of Waipukurau, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the County of Waipukurau (New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 3849) at the south-eastern corner of Section 14, Block XV, Takapau Survey District; then proceeding by a right line in a southerly direction through Blocks XV and XVI, Takapau Survey District, and Block IV, Mangatoro Survey District, to the westernmost point of Block 62 in Block IV, Mangatoro Survey District; then by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Wharawhara No. 3 Block in Block IV, Mangatoro Survey District; then southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Wharawhara No. 3 Block to its point of intersection with the boundary of the County of Waipukurau; then generally westerly and northerly along the boundary of the County of Waipukurau aforesaid to the point of commencement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 117264 (Sheets 1 to 11), deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered red and marked Manawatu County (Sheet 1), Oroua County (Sheet 2), Kiwitea County (Sheet 3), Mauriceville and Eketahuna Counties (Sheet 4), Hutt County (Sheet 5), Kairanga County (Sheet 6), Pohangina County (Sheet 7), Horowhenua County (Sheet 8), Woodville County (Sheet 9), Pahiatua County (Sheet 10), Dannevirke, Waipawa, and Waipukurau Counties (Sheet 11).

Constituting the Nelson Catchment District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of August, 1943
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute and declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto a catchment district under the said Act as from this eleventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and doth hereby assign to such catchment district the name of the “Nelson Catchment District.”

ALL those areas in the Nelson Land District comprising:—
The County of Collingwood (New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 231).
The County of Takaka, bounded as follows: Towards the north-west generally by Collingwood County (New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 231); toward the south-west by Buller County (as set out in the second paragraph of Second Schedule, New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 231); toward the south-east and south by Waimea County (New Zealand Gazette, 1939, page 2175).
The County of Waimea (New Zealand Gazette, 1939, page 2175), excluding Blocks I, II, III, IV, and V, Tainui Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, and VIII, Hope Survey District.
The City of Nelson (New Zealand Gazette, 1928, page 2843).
