Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to James Alexander Caithness, of Marton.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulation 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of omnibuses, shall not apply to Keith Richard Bond, of Dannevirke.

Classification of Birkenhead–Maungaturoto Main Highway

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed alteration in the classification of the Birkenhead–Maungaturoto Main Highway as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on any one axle:—

Birkenhead–Maungaturoto Main Highway (all that portion commencing at the Birkenhead Wharf and terminating at the junction with the Whangarei–Maungaturoto via Waipu and Dargaville–Maungaturoto Main Highways close to the north-western corner of Allotment 106, Kaiwaka Parish, Block X, Waipu Survey District, near Maungaturoto, and situated within Birkenhead Borough, Waitemata, Rodney, and Otamatea Counties, and the Warkworth Town District respectively).

The Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

  2. Clause (8) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the names of vendors “R. W. Neild,” “G. Gordon,” “Mrs. Ferris,” “E. Swinnerton,” and “Mrs. J. Roos,” and substituting therefor the following names respectively:—

“A. A. Dear” (Zone No. 3).
“W. Sutherland” (Zone No. 10).
“Watson Bros.” (Zone No. 24).
“Thain and Finlay” (Zone No. 6).
“Thain and Finlay” (Zone No. 7).

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “J. E. Henderson, Kamo Road, Whangarei” (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 2), and substituting therefor the following:—

“R. E. Meynell, Bank Street, Whangarei.”

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Taihape Milk Delivery Notice 1943.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

THE TAIHAPE MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“Minister” means the Minister of Transport :

“The district” means the Borough of Taihape as shown on the plan :

“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department under No. TT. 3397.
