Directing Application of Moneys received in respect of Portion of
the Ormond Domain, Gisborne Land District, for the Purposes
of the Titirangi Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of July,
1943

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by section sixty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of that
portion of the Ormond Domain described in the First Schedule
hereto, and at the date hereof lying to the credit of the said portion,
a sum not exceeding one hundred and fifty pounds shall be applied
in managing, administering, and improving the Titirangi Domain,
described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF ORMOND DOMAIN

ALL that area in Block I, Waimata Survey District, containing by
admeasurement 107 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being
the section marked “Bush Reserve,” and being the land referred to
in the Order in Council dated 1st August, 1910, and published in
Gazette No. 75 of the 4th of that month, at page 3115.


SECOND SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—TITIRANGI DOMAIN

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres 2 roods
26·26 perches, more or less, being Lot 6 on D.P. 2004, and being
part of Kaiti 337¹ Block, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey
District, Borough of Gisborne, and being all the land comprised
in Certificate of Title, Volume 61, folio 113 (Gisborne Registry).

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods
30·16 perches, more or less, being Subdivision 7B of Kaiti 337¹
Block, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District, Borough
of Gisborne, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title,
Volume 65, folio 125 (Gisborne Registry).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by section forty of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
declare that from and after the tenth day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-three, the public domains described in the
Schedules hereto shall be united to form one public domain, to be
known as the Christchurch City and Suburban Domain.

The Cook Islands Act, 1915.—Member of Island Council of Atiu
appointed

PURSUANT to section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915,
and to an Order in Council made thereunder on the twenty-
first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, His
Excellency the Governor-General doth hereby appoint

Kau Matenga, of Mapumai, Atiu,

to be a member of the Island Council of Atiu during his pleasure
as from the date hereof, in lieu of Tiputa (deceased).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 23rd day of July, 1943.

hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,
1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the
persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being
officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite
their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take
and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-
first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Native Land Act, 1931, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
notify and declare that

John Dickin

being an officer in the service of the Crown, is authorized to attest,
in accordance with the provisions of the said section two hundred
and sixty-eight, the signatures of Natives to instruments of alienation
of Native land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 30th day of June, 1943.
