URSUANT to section five hundred and forty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
John Dickin,
being an officer in the service of the Crown, is authorized to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section five hundred and forty-seven, the signatures of Natives to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924.
At witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 30th day of June, 1943.

Member appointed to Willsher Bay Scenic Reserve Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of that month, the control of a certain reserve in the Otago Land District, known as the Willsher Bay Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Willsher Bay Scenic Reserve Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas it is desirable that William Andrew Dabinett should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of James Wright, deceased:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said
William Andrew Dabinett
to be a member of the Willsher Bay Scenic Reserve Board constituted by the Warrant dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said James Wright.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of July, 1943.
