HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment
to Dorothy May Aubrey, of Omarama, by Allan Steward
Cambridge, formerly of Dalrachney Station, Omarama,
Farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an
Order in Council dated the twentieth day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the thirtieth day of the
same month at page 571, authorizing the said Allan Steward
Cambridge, formerly of Dalrachney Station, Omarama,
Farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public
work for which it was acquired.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 4 acres
2 roods 38 perches.
Being part Sections 59 and 60, Square 159, Block IX, Oparara
Survey District (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9212.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly

anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on
and after the date of this Order in Council, become Govern-
ment road.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £160,000 by the Auckland
Electric-power Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of July,

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Auckland Electric-power Board (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”), being desirous of raising
a loan of one hundred and sixty thousand pounds (£160,000), to
be known as “Redemption Loan, 1943” (hereinafter called “the
said loan”), for the purpose of repaying, to the extent that sinking
funds are insufficient, the balance of a loan of £350,000 which matures
in London on the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-three, has complied with the provisions of the Local
Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said
Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the
Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should
be given to the raising of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-
nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the
raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan
for the said purpose up to the amount of one hundred and sixty
thousand pounds (£160,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby
determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may
be borrowed shall not exceed ten (10) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the
said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce
to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds two shillings
and sixpence (£3 2s. 6d.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof shall be repaid by equal
half-yearly instalments of principal of not less than eight thousand
pounds (£8,000) each.
(4) The payment of interest and instalments of principal in
respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no
amount payable as interest or principal shall be paid out of loan-
moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procura-
tion fees in respect of the borrowing of the said loan or any part
thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of
any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the
expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Varying the Determinations in respect of the North Canterbury
Hospital Board’s Loan of £120,000 by extending the Term within
which the said Loan may be borrowed

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the nineteenth day
of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one,
and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment
therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the North Canter-
bury Hospital Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”)
of a loan of one hundred and twenty thousand pounds (£120,000),
to be known as “Christchurch Hospital Rebuilding and Equipment
Loan, 1941”:
And whereas the said loan has not yet been fully raised, and it
is expedient to extend the term, as specified in clause six of the
Order in Council, within which the said loan or any portion thereof
may be raised:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby vary the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said
loan by prescribing that no moneys shall be borrowed under the
consent given by the said Order in Council after the expiration of
four (4) years from the date thereof.
