Land taken and Portion of Public Reserve set apart for Public Works

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule is hereby taken and the portion of public reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for public works; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of July, 1943.

Land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, declared Crown Land available for Reservation under the Land Act, 1924

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Borough of Riccarton, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 5·8 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 3, Deposited Plan 1108: Bounded towards the south, west, and north by part Lot 3, Deposited Plan 1108, 218·75 links, 130·6 links, and 218·2 links respectively, and towards the east by other part of the said Lot 3 and by part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 2250, 131·4 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 30/228/3c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of July, 1943

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to, and the acquisition by, Daniel Vickery Bryant, Campbell Larnach MacDiarmid, Richard English, John Thomas Bryant, and Cecil Daniel Bryant of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 16 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, situate in Block IV, Karioi Survey District, called Whaanga 2B 3A, being the land comprised in and described by Certificate of Title, Volume 800, folio 131 (Auckland Registry).
