The Malvern County and Area Meat Delivery Notice 1943
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Malvern County and Area Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
- This notice shall come into force on the day following publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
SCHEDULE
THE MALVERN COUNTY AND AREA MEAT DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the County of Malvern and part Tawera and Paparua County :
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :
“ Wholesale purchaser ” means a person who purchases meat for resale or for transport to an area outside the district, or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies daily.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—
(a) One member appointed by the Malvern County Council :
(b) One member appointed by the Paparua County Council :
(c) One member appointed by the Tawera County Council :
(d) One member appointed by the parties to this scheme :
(e) The Postmaster, Darfield :
(f) Any committee member appointed by the respective Councils or parties, as the case may be, may in like manner be removed from office.
(3) Any committee member, other than the Postmaster, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
(4) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the Postmaster, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(5) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme in the district, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(6) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(7) Subject to the provisions of clause (3) hereof:—
Meat may be delivered in the district by any vendor to any person, whether or not that person is a wholesale purchaser for the purposes of the scheme, on such three days in any week during the months of December, January, and February in each year and on such two days in any week during the months of March to November (inclusive) in each year, as the Minister or a Zoning Officer shall from time to time appoint in respect of the scheme, but otherwise meat may be delivered in the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.
(8) The names of the vendors and the area in which they may deliver meat are as follows :—

Waddington and Sheffield Area : Main Highway to Waddington and Sheffield and return. Charing Cross–Greendale Area : Darfield to Charing Cross via Telegraph Road, Bealey Road to Hawkins, Clinton Road, Ridgen’s Road to Stoney’s Road, Adams Road to Dip Road on to School Road, up Coal–Tramway Road to Warren’s Road, down Stevenson’s Road, back to School Road, and return Darfield by Greendale–Darfield Main Highway. |

The Taieri District Meat Delivery Notice 1943
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—
- This notice may be cited as the Taieri District Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
- This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
THE TAIERI DISTRICT MEAT DELIVERY SCHEME 1943
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means portion of the Taieri County as delineated by zones marked on the plan :
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :
“ Zone ” means a zone of the said district as marked on the plan :
“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department and marked No. TT. 3389 :
“ Wholesale purchaser ” means a person who purchases meat for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of meat daily.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Taieri County Council :
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme :
(c) The Postmaster, Mosgiel.
(3) (a) The members to be appointed by the Taieri County Council and the vendors under clause (2) of this scheme shall be appointed as soon as may be after the coming into force of this scheme.
(b) Any committee member appointed by the said Council or vendors may in like manner be removed from office.
(4) Any committee member, other than the Postmaster, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
(5) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the Postmaster, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
