The Upper Hutt Milk Delivery Notice 1943.
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—
-
This notice may be cited as the Upper Hutt Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

The scheme set out in the schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
SCHEDULE.
THE UPPER HUTT MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.
(1) For the purposes of the scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“The commodity” means milk and includes cream:
“The district” means the Upper Hutt Borough, together with adjoining areas as delineated by the demarcation of zones on the plan:
“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 1183:
“Minister” means Minister of Transport:
“Zone” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.
(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme, there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Upper Hutt Borough Council;
(b) One member to be appointed by the Hutt Valley and Bay Districts Milk-vendors’ Association;
(c) The Zoning Officer for North Island.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(6) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.

THE HOKITIKA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“The district” means the Borough of Hokitika as indicated by zones marked on the plan:
“The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3380:
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport:
“Zone” means a zone of the district as marked on the said plan.
(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme, there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:—
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Hokitika Borough Council;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme;
(c) Subdistrict Oil Fuel Controller, Hokitika.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

The Rakaia and District Commodities Delivery Notice 1943.
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Rakaia and District Commodities Delivery Notice 1943.

This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE RAKAIA AND DISTRICT COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“Commodities” means bread and groceries:
“The district” means that portion of the Ashburton County inclusive of the townships of Rakaia, Chertsey, and Lauriston:
“Delivery” means delivery by use of a motor-vehicle, and “delivered” has a corresponding meaning.
(2) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme, and the areas within which and the days upon which deliveries of the commodities may be made, are as follows:—
Anderson, J., Grocer, Rakaia.
Fortnightly runs to the following places : Monday—To Dorie; Tuesday—River Road to Mitcham Road Junction and return via Somerton and Hatfield ; Thursday—Up to Te Pirita Terrace Road to Ardlui Road Junction and return by the same route. Weekly run in township to deliver heavy loads on either Friday of Saturday morning.
Bryant, S., Baker, Rakaia.
Weekly runs as follows : Wednesday—Chertsey Township; thence to Mitcham, round block of Mitcham and Jones’s Roads to Somerton ; thence return serving aged and infirm persons in Rakaia Settlement en route. Friday morning to Chertsey Township and on Friday afternoons to Dorie via Mainwaring and River roads. No deliveries in Rakaia Township on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Friday afternoon run to Dorie to be a continuation of the Friday morning run to Chertsey, whenever possible to take enough goods to complete the two runs.
Hardy’s Stores, Ltd., Grocers, Rakaia.
Fortnightly runs as follows : Dorie via Mainwaring and River Roads on Mondays ; Rakaia to Barr Hill, corner of Lauriston and River Roads ; thence via Back Road to Mitcham Road and on to Mitcham and Somerton ; thence via Jones’s Road home on Wednesdays, and Rakaia to Te Pirita School taking in approximately one mile on Rakaia-Southbridge Road on outward journey, return journey from Te Pirita by Terrace Road. The deliveries to be on alternate weeks to Messrs. Pye and Co., Ltd. Te Pirita customers may be served on Fridays.
