Weekly trips as follows: Chertsey to Pendarves via Boundary Road; thence to Kyle and return via Kyle-Chertsey Road on Mondays. Chertsey to Pendarves (serving other side of road) via Boundary Road; thence along Coast Road to Seven Road junction and return via Station Road, or vice versa on Tuesdays. Chertsey along back Railway Road towards Ashburton to first crossing, back main highway to Chertsey, up Chertsey-Mitcham Road to Jones’s Road, along it nearly to Somerton, back to Sherwood-Chertsey Road, up it to Mitcham Road, around block to junction of Jones’s and Sherwood-Chertsey Roads, and along latter to main highway and return on Wednesdays.
Pye and Co., Ltd., Grocers, Rakaia.
Fortnightly deliveries as follows : Mondays—Rakaia to Te Pirita as far as Ardlui Road via Terrace Road ; thence towards Bankside to Two Chain Road and return via this road. Tuesdays—Rakaia via River Road to Barr Hill district and return via Back Road and River Road. Wednesdays—via Rakaia-Methven railway-line to Somerton ; thence round Jones’s-Mitcham Road block to Mitcham, back Mitcham Road to first road on left, up this road about two miles, then back and return via Mitcham, Jones’s, and River Roads. The deliveries to be on alternate weeks to Messrs. Hardy’s Stores, Ltd. Shepherds Bush Road and Winchmore Road, serving customers as far as point where strikes latter road, then to Ashburton for goods, and picking up customers again near point where left off on outward journey, then return. Wednesday—Lauriston to Barr Hill corner, taking in small side roads and return by same road. Fridays—Lauriston to corner of Barr Hill and Methven-Chertsey Roads, up latter to Urral Road, along it to Back Road, back to Barr Hill Road, and return. The Wednesday and Friday runs to be amalgamated during the months of November to March inclusive.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 110).
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 110) by adding thereto, after the words “doth hereby declare,” the words “the operation of all undertakings engaged in,” and by adding thereto, after the words “tobacco-leaf,” the words “except in respect of workers employed as salesmen or window-dressers.”

Price Order No. 124 (Tinned Pineapple).
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:-
- This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 124, and shall come into force on the 5th day of February, 1943.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER.
- This Order applies with respect to sales by way of retail of tinned pineapple sold under various trade brands but customarily termed “Singapore” and marketed in tins containing, or reputed to contain, approximately 20 oz. of cubes or slices.
FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF PINEAPPLE.
- The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any pineapple to which this Order applies shall be-
Maximum Retail Price per Tin.
(i) In the case of pineapple sold at any place within the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin, as respectively defined in the Schedule hereto ... 1 2

SCHEDULE.
DEFINITION OF METROPOLITAN AREAS.
Name of Metropolitan Area. Districts included therein.
Auckland.. The City of Auckland; the boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Ellerslie, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, New Lynn, Newmarket, Northcote, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, and Takapuna; and the road districts of Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, and Panmure Township.
Wellington .. The cities of Wellington and Lower Hutt; the boroughs of Eastbourne and Petone; and the Town District of Johnsonville.
Christchurch .. The City of Christchurch and the boroughs of Lyttelton, New Brighton, Riccarton, and Sumner.
Dunedin .. The City of Dunedin and the boroughs of Green Island, Port Chalmers, St. Kilda, and West Harbour.

The Glass Containers Manufacture Control Notice 1943.
PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939,* I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:-

This notice may be cited as the Glass Containers Manufacture Control Notice 1943.

This notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette, but shall not apply to containers ordered before that date if those containers are delivered by the 28th February, 1943.

In this notice-
“The said specification” means the New Zealand Emergency Standard Specification entitled “Simplified Practice for the Manufacture of Glass Containers,” issued by the New Zealand Standards Institute under the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, bearing date January, 1943, and numbered N.Z.S.S. E. 103 (SP)+, and includes any amendment thereof that may hereafter be issued or any specification that may hereafter be issued in substitution therefor:
“Glass containers” means glass containers in relation to the manufacture of which the said specification applies.
- No owner or occupier of a factory within the meaning of the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939 shall manufacture any glass container in contravention of the provisions of the said specification.
