Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to John Thomas Duggan, Nightcaps Rural Delivery.

The Balclutha and Area Bread Delivery Notice 1943.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Balclutha and Area Bread Delivery Notice 1943.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

THE BALCLUTHA AND AREA BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means the area of the Balclutha Borough and the townships of Benhar, Stirling, and Inchclutha :

“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport.

(2) It shall be a condition of this scheme that—

(a) Bread shall be delivered within the district only to those premises described in clause (3) of this scheme ;

(b) Bread shall be delivered not more frequently than twice weekly to the Stirling and Benhar districts, and only one vehicle shall be used in connection with each such delivery by the vendors.

(3) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the wholesale purchasers to whom they may deliver bread are as follows :—

  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

THE THAMES BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means the area of the Borough of Thames :

“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :

“ Wholesale purchaser ” means either—

(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves of bread per week or their equivalent in weight ; or

(b) A hospital or shop :

“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3377.

(2) It shall be a condition of this scheme that bread may be delivered within the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.

(3) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the area in which they may deliver bread to wholesale purchasers are as follows :—

Name and Address of Vendor. Area.
Scott’s Ltd., Bakers, Thames .. All that part of the district outlined in red on the plan.
Thames Bakeries, Ltd., Bakers, Thames All that part of the district outside of the areas outlined in red on the plan.

The Invercargill Bread Delivery Notice 1943.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Invercargill Bread Delivery Notice 1943.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

THE INVERCARGILL BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means the area of the City of Invercargill, including Collingwood and Waikiwi, as indicated by zones marked on the plan :

“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :

“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3382 :

“ Week ” means a week commencing on Monday :

“ Wholesale purchaser ” means a person who purchases bread for resale or who for other purposes purchases not less than ten 4 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in weight :

“ Zone ” means a zone of the district marked on the plan.

(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—

Invercargill Bread Delivery Committee—

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Invercargill City Council ;

(b) One member to be appointed by the Invercargill Master Bakers’ Association ;

(c) Mr. S. Jewiss, Invercargill ;

(d) The District Oil Fuel Controller, Invercargill.

(3) Any committee member appointed by the said Association may in like manner be removed from office.

(4) Any committee member, other than the District Oil Fuel Controller, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.

(5) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the District Oil Fuel Controller, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(6) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme in its area, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(7) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, each committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(8) It shall be a condition of this scheme that a party to the scheme shall deliver bread only in the areas allotted to him as provided in clause (10) of this scheme.

(9) It shall be a condition of this scheme that bread shall be delivered within the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.

(10) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas within which they may deliver bread to wholesale purchasers are as follows :—
