Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations 1940.—
Appointment of Wharf Superintendent for the Port of Wellington.
IN pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred upon me by
the Waterfront Control Commission Emergency Regulations
1940, I, William Edward Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, acting
for the Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint
Martin Carlsson
to be Wharf Superintendent for the Port of Wellington.

Classification of Roads in Clifton County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-
vehicles Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
alter the Clifton County Council’s proposed classification and pro-
posed alteration in classification of the roads described in the
Schedule hereto, and situated in the Clifton County, and doth
hereby approve such classification and altered classification as set
forth in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
CLIFTON COUNTY.
ROADS classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of
any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which
with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than
3½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle
which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not
more than 4 tons on any one axle :—
Allen Road ; Avenue Road ; Nopera Road ; Tongaporutu-
Mangaroa Road.
Roads classified in Class Five: Available for the use thereon of
any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which
with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more
than 2½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle
which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not
more than 3 tons on any one axle :—
Elliot Street ; Hutiwai Road ; Kaka Road ; Mangahewa
Road ; Mangahutiwai Road ; Moki Road ; Ngatoto
Road ; Piko Road ; Puke Road ; Ri Road ; Tooi
