Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Rotokare (Ngaire)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of June,
1943
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
Claude Walter Carnecross,
Leslie White,
Leonard Vincent Lloyd,
George Daglish Morton,
Albert William Pepperell,
Charles Henry White, and
William Roy Stanners
to be the Rotokare (Ngaire) Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Wednesday, the eleventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-three, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when,
and the offices of the Eltham Dairy Company, Eltham, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—ROKOKARE (NGAIRE) DOMAIN
All that area containing by admeasurement 574 acres, more or
less, being Section 1, Block XII, Ngaire Survey District: Bounded
generally towards the north by Sections 10 and 2, Block XII, Ngaire
Survey District, Rotokare Road, and Section 3, Block XII aforesaid,
10998·6 links; towards the south-east by Tutaeariari No. 1 Block,
Block XVI, Ngaire Survey District, 7464·4 links; towards the south-
west by Section 32, Block XV, Ngaire Survey District, 8430·2 links;
and generally towards the north-west by Sections 5 and 6, Block
XI, Ngaire Survey District, 8758·9 links; excluding therefrom the
Rotokare Road intersecting the section: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Whangarei Borough
Council

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act,
1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby
vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule
hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Whangarei
Borough Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained,
that is to say :—

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby
    vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation
    is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending
    on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of
    receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve.
    Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged
    with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after
    the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance
    with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made
    thereunder.
    SCHEDULE
    CORONATION SCENIC RESERVE.—NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
    All that area in the Whangarei County and Whangarei Borough,
    situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District, containing by
    admeasurement 117 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less, being
    part Horahora No. 2 Block, part Te Wharowharo No. 1 Block, and
    Kirikiri No. 5 Block, and bounded as follows: Towards the north
    generally by Allotment S. 77, Whangarei Parish, 3138·0 links;
    towards the north-east generally by Lot 3 on D.P. 13936, Lot 3
    on D.P. 19974, and Lot 167 on D.P. 597, all being subdivisions of
    part Allotment 1, Parish of Whangarei, 1551·9 and 783·3 links;
    towards the south-east generally by Valley Road, 1032·5, 387·2,
    357·5, 429·0, 436·7, 411·6, and 100·0 links, Lot 92 on D.P. 2605,
    being a subdivision of part Te Wharowharo No. 2 Block, 54·47 links,
    and Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1, on D.P. 16579, being a subdivision of part
    Te Wharowharo No. 2 Block aforesaid, 146·78 and 1562·3 links;
    towards the west generally by part Horahora No. 2 Block, bearing
    353° 09′ 57″, distance 4340·3 links: be all the aforesaid measure-
    ments a little more or less. As the same is more particularly
    delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/452, deposited in the
    Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
    thereon edged red. (Auckland plan S.O. 16342L.)
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
    this 19th day of June, 1943.

    Dentists Act, 1936

    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
    conferred upon me by section three of the Dentists Act,
    1936, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of
    the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—
    William Prentice Sommerville, Dentist,
    John Thomas Cooper, Dentist,
    Robert Bevan Dodds, D.D.S., Univ. of N.Z.,
    John Norman Rishworth, M.B.E., Dentist,
    Owen Vivian Davies, L.D.S. (Vic.), Dentist,
    Charles Ernest Hercus, D.S.O., O.B.E., M.D., B.D.S., and
    D.P.H., Univ. of N.Z., and
    Philip Patrick Lynch, B.Sc., M.D., Univ. of N.Z.,
    F.R.A.C.P.,
    as members of the Dental Council under the aforesaid Act
    for a period of three years from the fifteenth day of June,
    one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
    General, this 16th day of June, 1943.
