The Waipawa and Area Groceries Delivery Notice 1943

Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Waipawa and Area Groceries Delivery Notice 1943.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

THE WAIPAWA AND AREA GROCERIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943

(1) For the purpose of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,

"The district" means the Borough of Waipawa and the townships of Ongaonga, Tikokino, and Omakere.

(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:

(a) Two members appointed by the Waipawa Borough Council;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme;
(c) The Zoning Officer for the North Island.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of the scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) It shall be a condition of this scheme that subject to the provisions of the next succeeding clause, groceries shall not be delivered to any one household or person:

(a) On Saturday to Monday inclusive in any week;
(b) On more than one occasion in any week in the case of the vendors indicated in the next clause by the prefix of letter (A);
(c) On more than one occasion in any calendar month in the case of the vendors indicated in the next clause by the prefix of the letter (B).

(7) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the area in which they may deliver are as follows:

The Ellesmere County Commodities Delivery Notice 1943

Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Ellesmere County Commodities Delivery Notice 1943.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the first day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

THE ELLESHERE COUNTY COMMODITIES DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,

"The district" means that part of the Ellesmere County as shown on the plan;
"Commodities" means meat and bread;
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport;
"Wholesale purchaser" means a person who purchases any commodity for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, boardinghouse, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies daily;
"The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under TT. 3393.

(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee, which shall consist of the following members:

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Ellesmere County Council;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme;
(c) The District Oil Fuel Controller, Leeston.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of the scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) It shall be a condition of this scheme that meat and bread may be delivered in the district by any vendor to any person, whether or not that person is a wholesale purchaser for the purposes of the scheme, on such three days in any week during the months of December, January, and February in each year, and on such two days in any week during the months of March to November (inclusive) in each year, as the Minister or a Zoning Officer shall from time to time appoint in respect of the scheme, but that otherwise meat and bread may be delivered in the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.
