Amendment No. 5 of the Warrant constituting Goods Transport Control Districts and Taxi-cab Control Districts and appointing Committees therefor

PURSUANT to the Transport Control Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend as follows the Schedule to the Warrant constituting Goods Transport Control Districts and Taxi-cab Control Districts and appointing Committees therefor, dated the 2nd day of September, 1942, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 10th day of September, 1942, at page 2173, as amended by Warrants dated respectively the 25th day of November, 1942, the 15th day of February, 1943, the 31st day of March, 1943, and the 8th day of April, 1943, and published respectively in the New Zealand Gazette on the 26th day of November, 1942, at page 2811, the 11th day of March, 1943, at page 299, the 8th day of April, 1943, and the 15th day of April, 1943, at page 446 :—
(1) Wellington Taxi-cab Control District and Committee
(a) By revoking the description of Wellington Taxi-cab Control District in the principal Warrant and substituting therefor the following:—
“Wellington Taxi-cab Control District
“All that area comprising Wellington City, Johnsonville Town Board, Makara County, and part of Hutt County; the boundaries of the whole area being indicated by a red border on the plan marked T.I. 3293, deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington.”
(b) By appointing an additional member to the Wellington Taxi-cab Control Committee as follows:—

Notifying Land in North Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1923

Wellington, 22nd May, 1943.
PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 43 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1923, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto was acquired by the Crown on the 14th day of April, 1942, and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1923, as from that date.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Whangarei County, situated in Block XII, Ruakaka Survey District, containing by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, being northern portion of Allotment 105, in the Parish of Ruarangi, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 560, folio 282 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 26/19059 “A,” deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Declaration of Essential Industry No. 128
IN pursuance of the powers conferred on him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the operations of all Education Boards in respect of all permanently employed persons to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations, except in respect of workers whose wages are subsidized wholly or in part from Government funds under Scheme No. 13.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry No. 7
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 7 by adding thereto the following words:—
“For the purposes of this declaration the term ‘sawmilling’ shall include the production of power and telegraph poles, railway-sleepers, fencing materials, and firewood.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 10
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby correct the amendment to Declaration No. 10 made on 25th March, 1943, and notified in the New Zealand Gazette No. 24, page 433, by substituting for the words—
“New Zealand Slippers, Ltd., at Wellington,” and
“Buchanan and Edwards, at Wellington,”
the words—
“New Zealand Slippers, Ltd., at Lower Hutt,” and
“Buchanan and Edwards, at Lower Hutt,”
and by adding after the words “James Drummond and Co.” the words “at Wellington.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 111
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 111 by adding thereto the following provision:—
“Provided that this declaration shall not apply to any member of the Civil Nursing Reserve.”

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry No. 127
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 127 by deleting therefrom the words “in respect only of women herd-recording officers” and by substituting therefor the words “in respect of women herd-recording officers and women clerical staff.”
