Special Orders made by the Raglan County Council abolishing System of Separate Riding Finance and consolidating Special Rates

THE following special orders made by the Raglan County Council are published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, and section 43 of the Finance Act, 1937.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Resolutions passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 12th February, 1943, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 9th April, 1943. Moved by Councillor W. J. Lusty and seconded by Councillor E. Baker.

SPECIAL ORDER.—ABOLITION OF RIDING ACCOUNTS

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Raglan County Council resolves and declares, by way of special order, that sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920 (as to levy of general rates separately in ridings and as to apportionment of income, &c.), shall not apply to the Raglan County Council.”

SPECIAL ORDER.—ABOLITION OF SPECIAL RATES

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 43 of the Finance Act, 1937, the Raglan County Council resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the following special rates shall be abolished, and in lieu thereof make and levy an annually recurring rate of 2·493d. in the pound on a uniform basis over the whole of the rateable property of the County of Raglan.”

Karamu Riding: 0·1375 of one penny in the pound.
Karioi Riding: 0·3135 of one penny in the pound.
Matakowhai Riding: 0·3652 of one penny in the pound.
Onewhero Riding: 0·3608 of one penny in the pound.
Pirongia Riding: 0·1551 of one penny in the pound.
Pukekawa Riding: 0·3289 of one penny in the pound.
Pukemiro Riding: 0·00088 of one penny in the pound.
Port Waikato Riding: 0·022 of one penny in the pound.
Te Akau Riding: 0·3476 of one penny in the pound.
Waingaro Riding: 0·4444 of one penny in the pound.
Whaingaroa Riding: 0·3872 of one penny in the pound.

I hereby certify that the above resolutions are true and correct copies of resolutions passed, by way of special orders, by the Raglan County Council, and that the special orders have been duly made.

The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report

I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with the said regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.

Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of May, 1943.
