Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of omnibuses, shall not apply to Joan Vincent, of Okaiawa, and, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Barrie Sinclair Foreman, of Hawera, and Gordon Leslie Murray, of Waikaka.

Exemptions from Transport (Goods) Emergency Regulations 1943.
PURSUANT to Regulation 2 of the Transport (Goods) Emergency Regulations 1943,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby exempt from the provisions of the said regulations the carriage of any goods by means of a trailer drawn by a tractor, and doth hereby declare that for the purposes of this order the terms "trailer" and "tractor" shall be interpreted as described in Regulation 1 (3) of the Heavy Motorvehicle Regulations 1940.†

    The Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1.
    PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:-
  1. This notice may be cited as the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Mosgiel Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").
  2. The principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the authority of D. McKenzie to deliver milk to the residences 9-18 Ayr Street, Mosgiel, and by authorizing H. Kirkland to deliver milk to the said residences.

    PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:-
  1. This notice may be cited as the Palmerston North Groceries Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Palmerston North Groceries Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").
  2. The principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the definition of "Delivery" in clause (1).

    The Hokitika and Area Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
    PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:-
  1. This notice may be cited as the Hokitika and Area Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE.
    THE HOKITIKA AND AREA MEAT DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.
    (1) For the purpose of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,-
    "Milk Scheme" means the Hokitika Milk Delivery Scheme, 1943, published in the Gazette on the 4th day of February, 1943, at page 90:
    "Minister" means the Minister of Transport:
    "The district" means the Borough of Hokitika and County of Westland as shown on the plan:
    "Wholesale purchaser" means a person who purchases commodities for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at an hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of commodities daily:
    "The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department under No. TT. 3390:
    "Zone" means a zone of the district marked on the plan.
    (2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows:-
    (a) The two members appointed for the time being for the purpose of paragraph (a) of clause (2) of the Milk Scheme:
    (b) One member to be appointed by the parties to the scheme:
    (c) The Subdistrict Oil Fuel Controller, Hokitika.
    (3) Any committee member other than the Subdistrict Oil Fuel Controller may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
    (4) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the Subdistrict Oil Fuel Controller, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
    (5) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of the scheme in its area, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending the scheme.
    (6) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
    (7) It shall be a condition of this scheme that subject to the provisions of the next succeeding clause, meat may be delivered in the district to any person on such three days in any week during the months of December, January, and February in each year, and on such two days in any week during the months of March to November (inclusive) in each year, as the Minister or a Zoning Officer shall from time to time appoint in respect of the scheme, but that otherwise meat may be delivered in the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.
    (8) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver meat are as follows:-

    PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :-
  4. This notice may be cited as the Paparua County and part Springs, Halswell, and Wairewa Counties Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
  5. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  6. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE.
    THE PAPARUA COUNTY AND PART SPRINGS, HALSWELL, AND WAIREWA COUNTIES MEAT DELIVERY SCHEME 1943.
    (1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,-
    "The district" means the area as marked on the plan:
    "The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department under No. TT. 3392:
    "Wholesale purchaser" means a person who purchases meat for resale or for transport to an area outside the district or for consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or similar institution requiring large supplies of meat daily:
    "Minister" means the Minister of Transport.
    (2) It shall be a condition of this scheme that, subject to the provisions of clause (3) hereof, meat may be delivered in the district by any vendor to any person, whether or not that person is a wholesale purchaser for the purposes of the scheme, on such three days in any week during the months of December, January, and February in each year, and on such two days in any week during the months of March to November (inclusive) in each year, as the Minister or a Zoning Officer shall from time to time appoint in respect of the scheme, but that otherwise meat may be delivered in the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.
