The Napier Meat Delivery Notice 1943.
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency
Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Napier Meat Delivery
Notice 1943. - This notice shall come into force on the first day after
the date of publication thereof in the Gazette. - The scheme set out in the Schedule hereunto is hereby
provided for the district described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
THE NAPIER MEAT DELIVERY NOTICE 1943.
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
"The District" means the Borough of Napier as at
present constituted:
"Groceries Delivery Scheme" means the Napier
Groceries Delivery Scheme, 1943, published in the
Gazette dated 18th February, 1943, at page 133:
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport:
"Wholesale purchaser" means a person who purchases
not less than 8 lb. of meat at a time for resale or
for transport to an area outside the district or for
consumption at a military camp, hotel, hospital, or
similar institution.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of
this scheme, there shall be a committee which shall consist of
the following members:—
(a) Those members appointed by the Napier Borough
Council under clause (2), paragraph (a), of the
Groceries Delivery Scheme:
(b) One member to be appointed by the Napier Master
Butchers' Association:
(c) The Zoning Officer for the North Island.
(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the
committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by
appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was
appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive
and investigate complaints affecting the administration of the
scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be
referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be
considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations
to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the
committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it
thinks fit.
(6) It shall be a condition of this scheme that meat may
be delivered in the district by any vendor to any person,
whether or not that person is a wholesale purchaser for the
purposes of the scheme, on such three days in any week during
the months of December, January, and February in each year,
and on such two days in any week during the months of
March to November (inclusive) in each year, as the Minister
or a Zoning Officer shall from time to time appoint in respect
of the scheme, but that otherwise meat may be delivered in
the district to the premises of wholesale purchasers only.

The Christchurch and Area Bread Delivery Notice 1942,
Amendment No. 1.
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,
the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as
follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Christchurch and Area
Bread Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be
read together with and deemed part of the Christchurch and
Area Bread Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter referred to as
"the principal scheme"). -
Clause (7) of the principal scheme is hereby amended
by revoking in paragraph 6 (relating to the wholesale
purchasers allotted to J. Gilmore) all words after "Smith,
454A Ferry Road," and substituting therefor the following:—
"6A. J. H. Glover, 5 Plunket Street, Christchurch;
Martyn, 66 Neville Street; Hancock, 108 Lincoln Road; Black
Horse Hotel, 33 Lincoln Road."

The Nelson and Area Bread Delivery Notice 1943.
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency
Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
give notice as follows:—
- This notice may be cited as the Nelson and Area Bread
Delivery Notice 1943. - This notice shall come into force on the Monday
following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette. - The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby
provided for the district described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE NELSON AND AREA BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1943.
-
For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context
otherwise requires,—
"The district" means the area of the City of Nelson,
that portion of the Tahunanui Town District
bounded on the south by Parker's Road, and also
that portion of the Waimea County Council known
as Wakapuaka District, as shown by the plans
deposited in the Head Office of the Transport
Department and numbered 3386:
"Milk Scheme" means the Nelson Milk Delivery Scheme,
1942, published in the Gazette dated the 1st October,
1942, at page 2436:
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport:
"Wholesale purchaser" means either—
(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six
2 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in
weight:
(b) A hospital, hotel, or similar institution. -
For the purpose of assisting in the administration of
this scheme there shall be a committee as follows:—
Nelson Bread Delivery Committee—
(a) The two members appointed for the time being
for the purpose of paragraphs (a) and (b) of
clause (2) of the Milk Scheme:
(b) One member to be appointed by the Nelson
Master Bakers' Association:
(c) The District Oil Fuel Controller, Nelson. -
Any committee member other than the District Oil Fuel
Controller may resign his office by writing addressed to the
Minister. -
On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any
committee member, other than the District Oil Fuel Controller,
the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in
the manner in which the vacating member was appointed. -
The functions of the committee shall be to receive and
investigate complaints affecting the administration of the
scheme in its area, to advise the Minister on any matters that
may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may
be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations
to the Minister for amending the scheme. -
Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the
committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it
thinks fit. -
It shall be a condition of this scheme that bread shall
be delivered within the district to the premises of wholesale
purchasers only, excepting in the Wakapuaka District where
deliveries may be made on not more than three occasions in
any one week to any one household or person. -
It shall be a condition of this scheme that, with the
exception of deliveries made pursuant to a contract with the
Crown and with the exception of deliveries in the Wakapuaka
District as provided for in clause 7 of this scheme, bread
shall be delivered in the district only to the wholesale
purchasers as provided in clause 9 of this scheme. -

parties to this scheme and the wholesale purchasers to whom
they may deliver bread are as follows:—
