Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the pieces of closed road and severance described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL those areas in the North Auckland Land District, Mangonui County, containing by admeasurement a total area of 3 acres 2 roods 29·7 perches, more or less, being Sections 19 to 23 (inclusive), Block XIII, Rangaunu Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2321A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Mangonui County, containing by admeasurement 198 acres 0 roods 10·9 perches, more or less, being part Section 1, Block XIII, Rangaunu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.16/2321B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of October, 1942.

Revoking in Part Proclamations setting apart Crown Land in the Wellington Land District for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection two of section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke, in so far as they relate to the land described in the Schedule hereto, the Proclamations dated the seventeenth day of May and the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and published respectively in Gazettes No. 37 of the twenty-fifth day of May (page 1537), and No. 61 of the tenth day of August (page 2128), one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, setting apart the said land for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—CITY OF LOWER HUTT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 22·06 perches, more or less, being portions of Sections 16, 17, 18, and 19, Block XXXIII, Hutt Valley Settlement, bounded towards the north-west by Section 20, Block XXXIII, Hutt Valley Settlement, 40·98 links; towards the north-east by other parts of the said Sections 16, 17, 18, and 19, Block XXXIII, Hutt Valley Settlement, 305·41 links bearing 104° 34′ 20″; and towards the south-east and south-west by Section 15, Block XXXIII, Hutt Valley Settlement, 45·58, 295·0, and 8·31 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/696A, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block VIII, Waihou, and Blocks I and V, Ohinemuri Survey Districts, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land and has been used by the public as if it were a public road and public moneys have been spent on its maintenance:
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette of the sixteenth day of that month, the control of the land described in the Schedule to that document, being a reserve for a site for a public library, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Aria War Memorial Library Board, in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas it is considered desirable that the membership of the said Board should be increased:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint
Janet Adam Thomson
to be an additional member of the Aria War Memorial Library Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty, hereinbefore referred to.
