A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Hokianga County, situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Maungataniwha Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,460 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Mangamuka West, part No. 3BB Block, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 241, folio 134, and part No. 3cc Block, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 618, folio 150, Auckland Registry. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/451, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plans 9105, 1 and 3 (red).) (L. and S. 4/451.)

All that area in the Hokianga County containing by admeasurement a total of 2,605 acres 2 roods 39 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block X, Maungataniwha Survey District (2,400 acres 1 rood 19 perches), and Lot 1 on D.P. 29154, being part Mangamuka West No. 3c Block, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 731, folio 256, Auckland Registry (205 acres 1 rood 20 perches). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/451A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Section 2, Upper Makuri Village Settlement, Block X, Makuri Survey District: Area, 11 acres 0 roods 30 perches, more or less. (L. and S. 4/917.)

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

All those areas in the Nelson Land District, situated in the Takaka County, containing 1,660 acres, more or less, and more particularly described as follows:—

Firstly, all that area containing 271 acres, more or less, being part of Section 6, Block VIII, Waitapu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Crown land; towards the east by another part of Section 6 aforesaid; and towards the south and west by provisional State forest.

Secondly, all that area containing 871 acres and 2 roods, more or less, being another part of Section 6, Block VIII, Waitapu Survey District aforesaid, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by another part of Section 6 aforesaid; towards the east by Section 22, Block IX, Waitapu Survey District; towards the south and west by the Anatoki River, by the abuttal of a road, by Sections 2 and 7, Block VIII, Waitapu Survey District, and by provisional State forest.

Thirdly, all that area containing 517 acres and 2 roods, more or less, being Section 22, Block IX, Waitapu Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Nelson under No. 9044. (L. and S. 4/890.)

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Reserve 382, Block V, Haupiri Survey District: Area, 140 acres 0 roods 6 perches, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/954, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (L. and S. 4/954.)

Reserve 1768 (formerly part Sections 3200 and 2983 and Crown land (creeks)), situated in Block IV, Turiwhate Survey District: Area, 156 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Also Reserve 1769 (formerly part Sections 3326 and 2973 and Crown land (creeks)), situated in Block IV, Turiwhate Survey District: Area, 134 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/966, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (L. and S. 4/966.)

Reserve 643, Block XVI, Hohonu Survey District: Area, 155 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 609B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (L. and S. 609.)

Reserve 1816 (formerly closed road), Block XI, Kaniere Survey District: Area, 8 acres 2 roods, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/176D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 163 acres 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Lots 2, 3, and 4, Deposit Plan 5490, being all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 302, folio 109, Otago Registry, and being Section 26 and parts of Sections 8 and 9, Block VIII, Tautuku Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/700E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (L. and S. 4/700.)
