THE number in the heading to the notice described as the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 120), and published in the Gazette No. 93 of the 22nd October, 1942, at page 2512, should read 122, and not 120 as printed.

Additional Land at Paekakariki taken for the Purposes of the Wellington–Foxton Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington–Foxton Railway to take further land at Paekakariki in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land first described in the Schedule hereto and the one undivided tenth share in the land secondly described in the Schedule hereto, held by George Edmund Robertson and included in Certificate of Title, Volume 247, folio 14, Wellington Registry, is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

Approximate areas of the pieces of land :—

0 0 23·7 Part Lot 2, D.P. 830, being part Section 10A, Wainui District ; coloured orange.

0 0 20 Lot 3, D.P. 830, being part Section 10A, Wainui District ; coloured sepia.

Situated in Block III, Paekakariki Survey District, Hutt County, (S.O. 20941.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6988, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of October, 1942.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 3 roods 29·66 perches. Part Section 81, Porirua Registration District ; coloured orange. Situated in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, Hutt County (S.O. 20945.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6994, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of October, 1942.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 1 rood 39·2 perches. Adjoining Section 20.

Situated in Block I, Benmore Survey District (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9333.)

In the Otago Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 115335, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of October, 1942.
