SITTINGS IN BANCO AND IN CHAMBERS.
Sittings of the Court in Banco will be held at the Courthouse,
AUCKLAND, WELLINGTON, CHRISTCHURCH, and DUNEDIN every
Wednesday, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon, except during vacation
or the absence of the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other
business.
Sittings in Chambers will be held at the Judge's Chambers, in
the Courthouse, CHRISTCHURCH and DUNEDIN, every Tuesday and
Friday, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, and at AUCKLAND and
WELLINGTON every Friday at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, except
during vacation or the absence of the Judge, or unless the Judge is
engaged on other business.
Sittings in Banco and in Chambers at other times and in vacation,
in respect of urgent business, may be held at such times and places
as may suit the convenience of the Judge.
In all other cities and towns in which sittings of the Court are
held, such business in Banco and in Chambers as the Judge shall
allow may be disposed of in the course of these sittings, at such days
and hours as the Judge may appoint.
PROVISION AS TO HOLIDAYS.
If any of the days above appointed for sittings shall be a public
holiday, the sittings shall commence on the first day after the day so
appointed which is not a holiday. It shall be lawful for any one or
more Judges of the Supreme Court to order that the Supreme Court
and the offices thereof at any place shall be closed for any public or
proclaimed holiday in.the district.

The Males' Outer Clothing Manufacture Control Notice 1942.
PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939,* I,
George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and
give notice as follows:-

1. This notice may be cited as the Males' Outer Clothing
   Manufacture Control Notice 1942.
2. This notice shall come into force on the day next following
   the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette, but shall not
   apply to garments ordered before that date if those garments are
   delivered by the 31st January, 1943.
3. In this notice-
   "The said specification" means the New Zealand Emergency
   Standard Specification entitled "Simplified Practice for
   the Manufacture of Men's Youths', and Boys' Outer
   Clothing" issued by the New Zealand Standards Institute
   under the authority of the Minister of Industries and
   Commerce, bearing date October, 1942, and numbered
   N.Z.S.S. E.92 (SP)+, and includes any amendment
   thereof that may hereafter be issued or any specification
   that may hereafter be issued in substitution therefor:
   "Men's, youths', or boys' outer clothing" means outer
   clothing for men, youths, or boys, in relation to the
   manufacture of which the said specification applies.
4. No owner or occupier of a factory within the meaning of the
   Factory Emergency Regulations 1939 shall-
   (a) Manufacture an article of men's, youths', or boys' outer
   clothing, the manufacture of which is prohibited by
   clause 4 of the said specification:
   (b) Manufacture any other article of men's, youths', or boys'
   outer clothing in contravention of the provisions of the
   said specification.
