subject to the Air Force Act, 1937, and the regulations made thereunder, and also to exercise (subject to the provisions of the said Warrant) in respect of the proceedings of such courts-martial the power of confirming the findings or sentences thereof according to law, or of directing him to reserve for my confirmation the proceedings of all or any such courts-martial:

Now, therefore, by virtue of the said Warrant, I do hereby authorize and empower you from time to time, as occasion may require, to convene general courts-martial for the trial of any person for the time being under or within the territorial limits of your command who is subject to the Air Force Act, 1937, and the regulations made thereunder, and who shall be charged with any offence for which such person may be tried by court-martial:

And I do hereby empower you in respect of the proceedings of such courts-martial to confirm the findings or sentences thereof according to law.

And for so doing, this shall be to you, as to all others whom it may concern, a sufficient warrant.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from Messrs. G. W. Kassey and S. A. Gooch for a license to take fish for sale by means of the 30 ft. fishing-vessel ‘‘ Tudor’’ (to be registered), using long lines, hand-lines, set-nets, drag-nets, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at French Pass.

Fish Canning.

An application has been received from F. S. Petrie (trading as Petrie and Co.), of 20 Owairaka Avenue, Mount Albert, Auckland S.W. 2, for a fish-canner’s license to enable them to commence canning of sardines and pilchards.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

An application has been received from Marathon Rubber Footwear, Ltd., Cumnor Terrace, Woolston, Christchurch, for an extension of its existing license to permit the manufacture of canvas shoes with soles other than rubber by the cemented and machine-sewn methods.

Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on any of the above applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish then in writing not later than the 12th November, 1942.

Sittings of the Supreme Court, 1943.

WE, four of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us by the Judicature Act, 1908, hereby appoint that during the year 1943 sittings for the trial of criminal and civil cases and causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1928, shall be held for the respective judicial districts hereinafter mentioned at the Supreme Court House or the Courthouse, as the case may be, at the places hereinafter specified, commencing at the times hereinafter mentioned; and further appoint that sittings in Banco and Chambers shall be held as hereinafter provided; and do hereby make for each judicial district the further rules following:—
