The Women's and Girls' Outer Clothing Manufacture Control Notice
1942.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939,* I,
George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct
and give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Women’s and Girls’ Outer
    Clothing Manufacture Control Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the day next following the
    date of the publication thereof in the Gazette, but shall not apply to
    garments ordered before that date if those garments are delivered
    by the 31st January, 1943.
  3. In this notice—
    “The said specification” means the New Zealand Emer-
    gency Standard Specification entitled “Simplified
    Practice for the Manufacture of Women’s and Girls’
    Outer Clothing” issued by the New Zealand Standards
    Institute under the authority of the Minister of Industries
    and Commerce, bearing date October, 1942, and

numbered N.Z.S.S. E. 94 (SP)†, and includes any amend-
ment thereof that may hereafter be issued or any
specification that may hereafter be issued in substitution
therefor:
“Women’s or girls’ outer clothing” means outer clothing for
women or girls, in relation to the manufacture of which
the said specification applies.
4. No owner or occupier of a factory within the meaning of the
Factory Emergency Regulations 1939 shall—
(a) Manufacture any article of women’s or girls’ outer clothing
the manufacture of which is prohibited by clause 4 of the
said specification :
(b) Manufacture any other article of women’s or girls’ outer
clothing in contravention of the provisions of the said
specification.

The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report.
I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose
of the above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice, pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations,
that the men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up
in accordance with the said regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and
places shown in the said Schedule.
Dated at Wellington, this 28th day of October, 1942.
