The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation
No. 9.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation
    Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 9.
  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (herein-
    after referred to as “the principal Order”).
  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
    coming within the scope of the Christchurch Tramway Board
    Workshops Employees’ industrial agreement, dated the 19th day of
    November, 1941, and recorded in 41 Book of Awards 1655.
  4. This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on
    30th April, 1942.

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation
No. 10.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation
    Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 10.
  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (herein-
    after referred to as “the principal Order”).
  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
    coming within the scope of the Dunedin City Corporation and
    Drainage and Sewerage Board Engineers, Electrical Workers, and
    Motor Mechanics’ industrial agreement, dated the 24th day of
    April, 1941, and recorded in 41 Book of Awards 401.
  4. This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on
    30th April, 1942.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
1941, Variation No. 14.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 14.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
    1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
    coming within the scope of the Dunedin City Corporation Theatrical
    Cleaners and Caretakers’ award, dated the 13th day of March, 1941,
    and recorded in 41 Book of Awards 133.

  4. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941,
Variation No. 15.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 15.
  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
    1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).
  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
    coming within the scope of the Otago Front-of-house Employees’
    award, dated the 18th day of July, 1939, and recorded in 39 Book
    of Awards 969.
  4. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date
    hereof.

The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941,
Variation No. 16.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 16.
  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of
    the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order
    1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).
  3. The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :—
    The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to workers
    coming within the scope of the Canterbury Gelatine and Glue
    Workers’ award, dated the 10th day of December, 1941, and recorded
    in 41 Book of Awards 1718, who prior to the coming into force of
    this Order were customarily employed on holidays and paid double
    time in addition to holiday pay for work performed on such holidays.
  4. This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on the
    1st day of April, 1942.

The Factories Act (Stevens and Sons, Limited) Labour Legislation
Suspension Order 1942.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Factories Act (Stevens and
    Sons, Limited) Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942.
  2. This Order applies to Stevens and Sons, Limited, Christ-
    church, and to workers employed by that company in connection
    with the manufacture of gas-masks or parts for gas-masks.
  3. The provisions of all Acts and regulations thereunder shall
    be and are hereby suspended during the months of September,
    October, November, and December in so far as any such provisions
    operate to prevent the employment of the workers referred to in
    clause 2 hereof from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., 10.10 a.m. to 12 noon, 1 p.m.
    to 3.30 p.m., 3.40 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays inclusive,
    but such suspension shall be subject to the following conditions,
    namely :—
    (a) The intervals between 10 a.m. and 10.10 a.m. and between
    3.30 p.m. and 3.40 p.m. shall be allowed for refresh-
    ments, and shall be counted as time worked and paid
    for accordingly ;
    (b) Time worked after 5 p.m. shall be counted as overtime, and
    shall be paid for accordingly.
  4. This Order shall be deemed to have come into force on the
    1st day of September, 1942.

The Belfast Freezing-works Labour Legislation Suspension Order
1942.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Belfast Freezing-works
    Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942.
  2. This Order applies to the Canterbury Frozen Meat and
    Dairy Produce Export Company, Limited, and to female workers
    who are employed by that company in the Preserving Department
    of its works at Belfast, and whose employment is subject to the
    provisions of the New Zealand (except Westland) Freezing Workers’
    award dated the 12th day of July, 1941, and recorded in 41 Book
    of Awards 692.
  3. The provisions of all Acts and regulations thereunder and
    of the said award shall be and are hereby suspended in so far as
    any such provisions operate to prevent the workers referred to in
    clause 2 hereof from being employed from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and
