The National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Notice under Regulation 19 requiring Men, who have been called up for Service with the Armed Forces, to report.

I, ALBERT EDWARD CONWAY, Adjutant-General, New Zealand Military Forces, and an authorized officer for the purpose of the above-mentioned regulations, do hereby give notice pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 19 of the said regulations, that the men whose names, addresses, and descriptions are given in the Schedule attached (being men who have been called up in accordance with the said regulations for service with the Armed Forces), are required to report at the respective times and places shown in the said Schedule.

Dated at Wellington, this 30th day of September, 1942.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

APPLICATIONS have been received from E. M. Cleave for a variation in the conditions of the existing industrial fishing license to permit also the use of the fishing-vessel “Te Aurere” (to be registered) and from S. M. Hovell, C. Hovell, G. Cleave, F. Heath, W. Dawson, and M. Cleave, all of Waihi, for licenses to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Te Aurere” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Waihi.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

Applications to take fish for sale have been received from the following :—

P. J. Costello, Waihi Plains, by means of the fishing-vessel “Rinaldo” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tanner’s Point.

A. R. Cornes, Johnson Street, Waihi, by means of a 25 ft. fishing-vessel (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Bowentown and Tanner’s Point.

K. M. Mowat, Wilson Street, Waihi, by means of the fishing-vessel “Lore” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, hand-lines, long lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tanner’s Point.

Fish Retailing.

An application has been received from H. Harley, R.M.D., Katikati, for a fish-retailer’s license in order to enable him to hawk fish for sale in the Orua District.

Sale by Wholesale of Fish.

An application has been received from Nelson Fisheries and Cool Storage, Ltd., Nelson, for a variation in the conditions of their fish-wholesaler’s license to permit the establishment and operation of a storage depot at French Pass.

Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on any of the above applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 15th October, 1942.
