The Timaru Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Timaru Milk Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.

SCHEDULE.

THE TIMARU MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires—
“'The district’ means the Borough of Timaru as indicated by zones marked on the plan:
‘‘The plan” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3350:
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport:
“Zone” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:-
(a) Three members to be appointed by the Timaru Borough Council:
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme:
(c) The Zoning Officer for South Island.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

D. Nichol, Catherine Street, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 3 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
W. T. Moore, 152 North Street, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 4 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
Supreme Dairies, Ltd., Canon Street, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 5 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
J. P. McGartland, 169A Otipua Road, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 6 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
E. J. Pettigrew, Claremont Road, Glen-iti The area as described generally by the Zone No. 7 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
G. Baikie, corner Church and Leiren Streets, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 8 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.
G. Redway, Hadlow, Timaru The area as described generally by the Zone No. 9 on the plan, as more particularly described by the written description of the zone attached to the plan.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations, 1940.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Raymond James Smith, of Morton Mains, and Henry Murphy, of Winton.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Noel McDonald Collins, of Hollycombe, and C. Routhan, of Wataroa.
