National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 1).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare the industry of electric-power production and supply, including Government undertakings engaged therein, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 2).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare the manufacture and supply of coal-gas to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 3).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare the industry of butter and cheese making in respect of every cheese-factory and creamery registered as a manufacturing dairy under the Dairy Produce Regulations 1938, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 4).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare the industry of coal-mining, including Government undertakings engaged therein, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 5).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare the industry of processing linen straw into fibre, including Government undertakings engaged therein, to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 6).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare all public and private hospitals to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 7).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Robert Semple, Minister of National Service, do hereby declare to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations the industry of sawmilling, including Government undertakings engaged therein, and including any factory or industrial plant directly dependent on supplies of logs and producing material therefrom, whether for sale, for use, or for further manufacture, by any process, of lengthwise sawing, of maceration into wood-fibre, or of peeling or slicing into veneers or plywood, and also any operations engaged in the supply of logs to these factories or industrial plants.
