CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in the Wellington Land District forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington 27th July, 1942.
NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Wellington Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Town Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 28th July, 1942.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 4th September, 1942.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 8th September, 1942, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Borough of Sumner.
Lot 58, D.P. 926, part R.S. 261, Borough of Sumner: Area, ⅓ rood. Capital value, £60.; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
This section, which is situated handy to Redcliffs Post-office and School, about six and a half miles by tram from Christchurch, has a frontage to Slater Street, and offers a good building-site. High-pressure water and electric light are available. Soil is of a sandy nature.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 7th September, 1942.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 9th September, 1942, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
NOTE.—This section is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Taieri County.—Maungatua Survey District.—Otago Mining District.
SECTION 86, Block VI: Area, 3 acres 0 roods 4·2 perches. Capital value, £30; half-yearly rent, 12s.
Weighted with £100 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising old dwelling and old shed.
The section is situated on the Henley-Berwick Road, one mile from Henley Post-office and a quarter of a mile from the Henley School and Railway-station. The land comprises good river flat resting on sandy subsoil formation. Water may be obtained from the drainage channel.
