HIS Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased, in pursuance and by virtue of the powers conferred upon him by section 4 of the Thomas Cawthron Trust Act, 1924, to appoint—

Robert Owen Page

to be members of the Thomas Cawthron Trust Board, the appointment to have effect as on and from the 10th day of March, 1942.

Appointment of Honorary Child Welfare Officer under the Child Welfare Act, 1925.

IN pursuance of section 2 of the Child Welfare Act, 1925, I, Henry Greathead Rex Mason, Minister of Education, do hereby appoint the Reverend William J. Anderson, of Kaikohe, as an Honorary Child Welfare Officer for the purposes of the said Act for the period ending the 31st December, 1942.

Removal of Name from the Commission of the Peace.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 8 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, to direct the removal of the name of

Kerci Mihaka, of Te Ahuahu,

from the Commission of the Peace; and it is hereby notified that such name has been removed accordingly, and that such removal will take effect on and from this 6th day of July, 1942.

Auckland Acclimatization District.—Revocation of Fisheries Appointment.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, revoked the appointment of

John Henwood Thomas, of Waihi,

as an officer for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, in respect of the Auckland Acclimatization District.
