to be the Amberley Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Library Room, North Road, Amberley, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

AMBERLEY DOMAIN.—CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

RESERVE 4317, Block XII, Grey Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 25 perches.

Also Reserve 4343, Block XII, Grey Survey District: Area, 34 acres 0 roods 10 perches.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve No. 1919, Block XII, Grey Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by a public road, 383·1 links; towards the north-east by Rural Section No. 7988; towards the south by Lawcock’s Road, 462·15 links; and again towards the south-west by Rural Section No. 6935. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/634, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The Western Side of Portion of Egmont Road, in the County of Taranaki, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of July, 1942.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Taranaki County Council on the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, in so far as it affects the side and portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, viz.:—

“That the Taranaki County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Taranaki, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the western side of the portion of Egmont Road adjoining Section 19, Hua District, Paritutu Survey District, being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 125, folio 3 (Taranaki Register) ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Egmont Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.

SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of road situated in the Taranaki Land District, County of Taranaki, known as Egmont Road, fronting Section 19, Hua District, Block VI, Paritutu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 114141, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Declaring an Area of Land near the Mangatawhiri River to be a Sanctuary.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District and in the Franklin County, situated in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, being Allotment 207, parts of Allotments 206, 203, and 202, Mangatawhiri Parish, portion of a public road along the right bank of, and portion of a reserve under section 169 of the Land Act, 1877, along the left bank of, the Mangatawhiri River, and bounded as follows: Towards the south-west by a public road; towards the south-east by Allotment 20, Koheroa Parish; towards the north-east and north generally by a line 200 yards distant from, parallel to, and north of the Whiora Stream (commonly known as Mill Creek); and towards the west by part Allotment 206, Mangatawhiri Parish, and a small stream through that allotment, the stream intersecting the road approximately 300 yards north-west from the western corner of Allotment 207. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/103, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of July, 1942.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District situated in Blocks VIII and XI, Awhitu Survey District, and known as Pokorua Lake, bounded on the north by Crown land and Section 244, Block VIII, on the east by part of Section 244 and road, on the south-east by Section 219, on the south by Section 217, Block XI, on the west by Crown land and Section 247B, and on the north-west by Section 247.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of July, 1942.
