Proclaiming a Road-line laid out in Block XIV, Maungataniwha Survey District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, duly laid out as a road-line in pursuance of sections four hundred and seventy-eight, four hundred and seventy-nine, and four hundred and eighty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the said Act:
And whereas one month's notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1942.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of June, 1942.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby grant to Gerhard Henry Diedricks, of Evans Creek, South Westland, Dairy-farmer (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), a license subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to take and use from an unnamed stream situated in permanent State Forest Reserve, in the Land District of Westland, for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding one and a half cubic feet per second at any one time.

CONDITIONS.
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS.
The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Water-power Regulations 1934, and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENSE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
This license is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and is subject thereto and to any regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS.
Water shall be used under this license solely for the purpose of generating electricity up to a maximum capacity of fifteen kilovolt amperes at 440 volts alternating current, and shall be taken from the stream at the point in permanent State Forest Reserve indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113364, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS.
The licence is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this license, the approximate positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 113364:—
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water-race leading to the pelton-wheel, and power-house hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 200 ft.
(b) A power-house, with all necessary equipment, for generating electricity.
(c) Tail-race leading from the said water-wheel to Cowhido Creek.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (j) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The generating voltage shall be approximately 440 volts alternating current and voltage of supply approximately 240 volts between any phase and neutral conductor.
