National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—
Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings
(No. 16).


IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by
Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service
doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Under-
takings (No. 16) by including therein the undertaking
set forth hereunder:—

Metters (New Zealand), Ltd., at Petone.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—
Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings
(No. 16).


IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by
Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service
doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Under-
takings (No. 16) by deleting therefrom the words:—

“Stuart Kingan and Co., at Christchurch.”

Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency

doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Under-
takings (No. 59) by including therein the undertaking
set forth hereunder:—

Winstone’s Roofing Tile Works, Ltd., at Taumarunui.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation
Emergency Regulations 1940.


PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth
hereby order and declare that the provisions of
clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regula-
tions 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy
trade-motors, shall not apply to Peter Graham
Levestam, of Patea.

Declaring a Place to be a Prohibited Place under the
Defence Emergency Regulations 1941.


PURSUANT to the Defence Emergency Regulations
1941, the Minister of Defence doth hereby declare
the place specified in the Schedule hereto to be a
prohibited place for the purpose of the Defence
Emergency Regulations 1941.


SCHEDULE.

MILITARY AREA AT MANGAHAO.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Horo-
whenua County, situated in Blocks XV, XVI, Mount
Robinson Survey District, and Block IV, Waiopohu
Survey District, bounded, commencing at a point being
the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of
Section 1, Block IV, Waiopohu Survey District, with
the Arapeti Stream, in a northerly direction along a
right line to a point on the Tokomaru Valley Road at
the north-western corner of Section 10, Block XVI,
Mount Robinson Survey District; thence in a general
westerly direction along the southern side of Tokomaru
Valley Road to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Section 14, Block XVI, Mount Robinson
Survey District; thence across Tokomaru Valley Road
to and along the eastern boundary of Section 14 afore-
said to the northernmost corner of that section; thence
in a south-westerly direction along a right line passing
through Sections 8 and 6, Block XVI, Mount Robinson
Survey District, and across the Shannon-Mangahao
Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1 on Survey
Office plan 17435, being part Section 15, Block XVI,
Mount Robinson Survey District; thence along the
north-western boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to the
westernmost corner of that lot; thence in a south-
westerly direction along a right line passing through
part Section 15 and Sections 13 and 12, Block XVI,
Mount Robinson Survey District, and through Section 8,
Block XV, Mount Robinson Survey District, to the
southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section;
thence in a south-easterly direction along a right line
to the south-western corner of Section 1, Block IV,
Waiopohu Survey District; thence along the south-
western boundary of the said Section 1 to a point
bearing 210° 34′ (true) from Te Paki Trig. Station;
and thence in a north-easterly direction along a right
line to the point of commencement. As the same is
more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army
P.P. 56, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
