Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

Industrial Fishing.
Joseph Bonica, Port Ahuriri .. For a variation in the conditions of his existing license in respect of the fishing-vessel "Aroha," NR. 38, so as to permit him to operate trawl-nets in addition to long lines, hand-lines, set-nets, and drag-nets, catches to be landed at Napier as previously Declined .. 2 Feb., 1942.
J. Cavallaro, Napier .. For a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license so as to enable him to operate trawl-nets with the fishing-vessel "Gladdy," NR. 304, catches to be landed at Napier Declined 2 Feb., 1942.
A. G. Bonica, Port Ahuriri .. For a variation in the conditions of his existing license so as to enable him to operate out of Napier with the fishing-vessel "Lady Aisle" (now renamed "Glory"), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Napier Granted .. 2 Feb., 1942.
J. Jones, Puru, via Thames For a license to take fish for sale by means of a row-boat, using set-nets, hand-lines, and long lines, catches to be landed at Puru Granted .. 2 Feb., 1942.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Sale by Wholesale of Fish.

AN application has been received from Andrew Paul Perano, High Street, Blenheim, to carry on the above-mentioned industry in the Blenheim district.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 26th March, 1942.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from the Vita Shoe Co., Ltd., 85 Stanley Street, Auckland, for an extension of its existing footwear-manufacturing license, so as to permit the manufacture of military footwear by the screwed and fairstitch processes, such extension to operate for the duration of the war and six months thereafter.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 26th March, 1942.

AN application has been received from Suckling Bros., Ltd., 18 Dundas Street, Christchurch, for an extension of its existing footwear-manufacturing license, so as to include the riveted and screwed methods.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 26th March, 1942.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from Sports Supplies (N.Z.), Ltd., 118-120 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland, for a license to commence in the above industry to the extent of manufacturing wooden beach clogs.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 26th March, 1942.

Excluding Land from the Kaipara Development Scheme.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 26th day of November, 1937, and published in Gazette No. 78 of the 2nd day of December, 1937, at page 2636, whereby the said land (inter alia) was declared to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, and such land is hereby excluded from the Kaipara Development Scheme.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Tokerau Native Land Court District, containing 16 acres 1 rood, more or less, called or known as Ounuwhao 1b 1b, and situate in Block IX, Maungaru Survey District.

Dated at Wellington, this 4th day of March, 1942.
