Notice of Result of Poll under Section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at the poll on the proposal to raise the sum of £160,530 for water-supply improvements, taken on the 21st day of February, 1942, the voting was as follows:—

For the proposal .. .. .. 691
Against the proposal .. .. .. 111

As there were 580 votes more in favour of the proposal than against same, I hereby declare the above poll to have been carried.

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu taken on the 25th day of February, 1942, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,300 for the purpose of dedicating and constructing a new street from Alexander Street west of the railway-line to Tawhiao Street, including the purchase of land and erecting fencing,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. .. .. .. 130
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. .. .. .. 42

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
