Eastbourne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, approved.

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of milk (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme.

SCHEDULE.

EASTBOURNE MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

  1. For the purposes of the scheme—

“ The commodity ” means milk, and includes cream :

“ The district ” means the Borough of Eastbourne, together with adjoining areas as delineated by the demarcation of zones on the plan :

“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3295.

  1. The scheme shall come into operation on the day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.

  2. The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows :—

Kaikohe Delivery Scheme, 1942, approved.

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Supply, being satisfied that all the vendors of bread, meat, and grocery supplies (otherwise than by sale over the counter) in the district specified in the scheme referred to in the Schedule hereto are parties to the scheme or have been given an opportunity of becoming parties thereto, doth hereby approve the said scheme and doth hereby revoke the Kaikohe Delivery Scheme, 1941.

SCHEDULE.

KAIKOHE DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

  1. For the purposes of the scheme—

“ The commodity ” means bread, meat, and grocery supplies :

“ The district ” means portions of Bay of Islands County and Hokianga County as indicated by the delineation of routes on the plan :

“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. 3293.

  1. The scheme shall come into operation on the day following the date of the publication in the Gazette of the notice of the approval of the scheme by the Minister of Supply.

  2. The persons entitled to deliver the commodity in the district and the extent to which they are so entitled are as follows :—

(1) R. Watson, Awarua .. On Mondays to Fridays (inclusive) while schools are open, and otherwise on Tuesdays and Fridays only over the route marked in red on the plan.

(3) A. E. Webb, Kaikohe .. On Tuesdays and Fridays only over the route marked in violet on the plan.
(4) N. Khutz, Kaikohe .. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only over the route marked in blue on the plan.
(5) E. Morfette, Kaikohe .. On Mondays and Fridays only over the route marked in orange on the plan.

Rubber Mills Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942.

WHEREAS it appears to me to be necessary for securing the public safety, the defence of New Zealand, the efficient prosecution of any war in which His Majesty may be engaged, and for maintaining supplies and services essential to the life of the community, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, pursuant to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, do hereby order as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Rubber Mills Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1942.

  2. This Order applies to Reid (New Zealand) Rubber Mills, Ltd., Auckland, and to the employees of such company who come within the scope of the Northern Industrial District Rubber-workers’ award dated the 14th day of December, 1939, and recorded in Book of Awards, Volume 39, page 1809.

  3. The provisions of all Acts and all regulations thereunder and of the above-mentioned award shall be and are hereby suspended in so far as they operate to prevent an additional four hours a week being worked by the workers hereinbefore referred to at ordinary rates of pay on the five days of the week, Monday to Friday, both inclusive.

  4. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.
