The Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 1.

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, I, David Wilson, acting for the Minister of Labour, do hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 1.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order shall be and is hereby varied as follows, namely:—

    “The suspension effected by clause 3 of the principal Order in respect of payment for time worked on holidays shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the Wellington City Council (Milk Department) Employees’ award dated the 3rd day of December, 1940, and recorded in Book of Awards, Volume 40, page 2196.”

  4. This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on the 17th day of December, 1941.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from Messrs. Colorwoods, Ltd., Wellington, for a license to commence in the above industry to the extent of manufacturing wooden beach clogs.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 5th March, 1942.

Administration of Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, in the Waipukurau County.—(Notice No. Ag. 3919.)

THE following resolution passed by the Waipukurau County Council on the 3rd day of February, 1942, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934:—

RESOLUTION.

“1. That, in pursuance of subsection (1) of section 7 of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934, the Waipukurau County Council hereby assumes responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and its amendment, within the said county as from 1st January, 1942;

“2. That, in pursuance of subsection (3) of the said section 7 of the said amending Act, the said Council hereby appoints the County Engineer, Mr. Robert B. Price, to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the said county.”
