CANterbury Land District.—Hanmer Springs Domain.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 24 acres 0 roods 28 perches, more or less, and being Reserve No. 4173 and part of Reserve No. 3942, situated in Block I, Lyndon Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Jacks Pass Road, 1683 links; towards the east generally by other part of Reserve No. 3942; towards the south by Section 20 of the Hanmer Plains Village Settlement, 1013·8 links; and again towards the west by the Woodbank Road, 1759·8 links, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/861B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Hugh Alexander Muldrew,
Alexander Lownie Clark,
Albert Henry Watson,
James Maxwell Saville, and
Alexander Lindsay
to be the Maheno Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Maheno, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Postponing General Election of Members of Auckland Electric-power Board.

PURSUANT to the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby postpone the holding of the general election of members of the Auckland Electric-power Board required by section thirteen of the Auckland Electric-power Board Amendment Act, 1937, as amended by section two of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1941, to be held on a Saturday within the last fifteen days of the month of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two; and doth hereby order and declare that the said general election shall be held on a Saturday within the last fifteen days of the month of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.

Notice under Section 43, Housing Act, 1919.

WHEREAS under the provisions of section forty-five of the Housing Act, 1919, any employer in an industry to which Part III of the said Act applies may at any time apply to the Minister of Finance for financial assistance towards the provision of dwellinghouses for any workers permanently employed by him in connection with that industry:
And whereas, under the provisions of section forty-eight of the said Act, it is enacted that the said Part III shall not apply to any industry unless and until the Governor-General by notice published in the Gazette declares that it shall so apply:
And whereas application has been received from an employer in the industry of woolpack manufacturing for assistance as aforesaid under the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that Part III of the Housing Act, 1919, shall and does apply to the industry of woolpack manufacturing.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 27th day of January, 1942.
