Declaring the Arapae, the Mangakowhai, and the Oparure Rabbit Districts to be united to form the Te Kuiti Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3916.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of January, 1942.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-two of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “ the said Act ”), the Governor-General may by Order in Council declare any two or more rabbit districts to be united and to form one rabbit district upon a petition from each of the districts proposed to be united signed by a majority of the ratepayers in each such district :

And whereas the Arapae Rabbit District, the Mangakowhai Rabbit District, and the Oparure Rabbit District are deemed to have been constituted under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act :

And whereas the boundaries of the said Arapae Rabbit District and the boundaries of the said Oparure Rabbit District are those set forth in the Schedule to the respective Orders in Council made under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908, and enuring under the said Act on the sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette on the sixteenth day of the same month at page 1059 and page 1058 respectively, and the boundaries of the said Mangakowhai Rabbit District are those set forth in the Schedule to a like Order in Council made on the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twelfth day of the same month at page 723 :

And whereas petitions signed by a majority of the ratepayers in each of the said rabbit districts have been received praying that the said rabbit districts be united to form one rabbit district to be known as the “ Te Kuiti Rabbit District ” :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the prayer of the petitioners in each of the said rabbit districts accordingly :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare—

(1) That the said Arapae Rabbit District, the said Mangakowhai Rabbit District, and the said Oparure Rabbit District so constituted as aforesaid, shall be and are hereby united to form one rabbit district, to be known as the “ Te Kuiti Rabbit District ” ; and

(2) That the basis on which the Board to be established for the said united district shall first levy its general rate shall be on the basis of the acreage of the rateable property in the said united district.

The Western Side of Portion of Awarua Crescent, in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of February, 1942.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—

“ The Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the portion of Awarua Crescent adjoining Sections 222 and 634, Town of Orakei ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Awarua Crescent (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of forty feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street, situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Awarua Crescent, fronting Sections 222 and 634, Town of Orakei. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 112859, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The South-western Side of Portion of Queen Street, in the Borough of Richmond, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Richmond Borough Council on the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, viz. :—

“ The Richmond Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Richmond, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-western side of the portion of Queen Street adjoining part Section 101, “ Waimea East ” Block VI, Waimea Survey District (C.T. 56/120) ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-western side of the portion of Queen Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE south-western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Richmond, known as Queen Street, fronting part Section 101, Waimea East District, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113249, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Hanmer Springs Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hanmer Springs Domain Pavilion, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
