  1. No person shall, after the 15th day of January, 1943, use any bituminous products for paving or similar purposes without the prior consent of the Main Highways Board.

  2. Any person, who, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, owns any bituminous products or has any bituminous products in his possession or control shall, not later than the 15th day of January, 1943, forward to the Building Controller, P.O. Box 3005, Wellington, a statement setting out the following particulars:—

(a) Details of the quantity of each type and grade of bituminous product;

(b) If any is held against the requirements of any particular contract or contracts, the name of each contract and the quantity in each type and grade so held against each contract;

(c) Approximate total quantity of bituminous products in each type and grade required to complete each contract; and

(d) The anticipated date of completion of each contract.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act, and to be included in the Tokaanu Development Scheme.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Aotea Native Land Court District containing 34 acres 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, situate in Block X, Puketi Survey District, and called or known as Waipapa 1b 1 (part).

The Corsetry Manufacture Control Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939,* I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Corsetry Manufacture Control Notice 1942.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette, but shall not apply to garments ordered before that date if those garments are delivered by 31st January, 1943.

  3. In this notice—

“Corsetry” means corsets, corselettes, corset belts, and brassieres in relation to the manufacture of which the said specification applies:

“The said specification” means the New Zealand Emergency Standards Specification entitled “Simplified Practice for the Manufacture of Corsetry” issued by the New Zealand Standards Institute under the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, bearing date December, 1942, and numbered N.Z.S.S. E.101(SP)†; and includes any amendment thereof that may hereafter be issued or any specification that may hereafter be issued in substitution therefor;

  1. No owner or occupier of a factory within the meaning of the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939 shall manufacture any corsetry in contravention of the provisions of the said specification.

Harbour Light established.

Position: On Flagstaff. Lat. 42° 43′0 S., long. 170° 57′8 E. (approx.).
Abridged Description: Occ. ev. 10 sec. (occas!).
Details: A white light, occulting every 10 sec., eclipse 2 sec., has been established in the above position on north side of river and is exhibited when vessels are expected.
NOTE.—This light and a red or a green light below indicate the state of the bar.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Public Work.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a public work, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waimarino and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of such work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the sixth day of January, 1943, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
