Sergeant James Gracey to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Upper Hutt for the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1928, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates' Court at Upper Hutt for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 20th day of December, 1941.
John Louis Wellbrock Gerken to be Local Patent Officer at Dunedin for the purposes of section 115 of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921β22, Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and Deputy Sheriff for the District of Otago for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, on and from the 19th day of January, 1942.
Albert Stephen Prisk to be Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Te Awamutu, on and from the 29th day of December, 1941.

The Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1942.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Munitions Emergency Regulations 1941, the Minister of Supply and Munitions doth hereby give notice and direct as follows:
- This notice may be cited as the Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1942.
- The Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941, and the Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941, No. 2, are hereby revoked, but so that such revocation shall not affect the continuing liability of any person under the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 for any breach of the requirements of those notices committed during the time when those notices were in force.
- This notice shall apply to all tires and tubes suitable for use or capable of being used on the wheels of vehicles except (a) metal tires for horse-drawn vehicles, and (b) tires and tubes suitable only for use on pedal-bicycles.
- All tires and tubes to which this notice applies are declared to be munitions for the purposes of the Munitions Emergency Regulations 1941.
- No person being the owner thereof shall sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession or control of any new or used tires or tubes to which this notice applies and which are not affixed to a vehicle as part of the normal equipment thereof except with the precedent consent of the Secretary, Ministry of Supply and Munitions (as delegate of the Munitions Controller), or of some other person appointed by the Secretary for the purpose.
- No person who on the 14th day of December, 1941, had in his possession or control or on order by him any new or used tires or tubes to which this notice applies, not affixed to a vehicle as part of the normal equipment thereof, shall use any of those tires or tubes except with the precedent consent of the Secretary, Ministry of Supply and Munitions (as delegate of the Munitions Controller), or of some other person appointed by the Secretary for the purpose.
- No person whose business or part of whose business is the sale of tires or tubes shall use any new tires or tubes to which this notice applies except with the precedent consent of the Secretary, Ministry of Supply (as delegate of the Munitions Controller), or of some other person appointed by the Secretary for the purpose.
