Captain J. R. Bongard, M.C., is appointed to command the 10th Battalion, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed. Dated 1st January, 1942.

2nd Lieutenant T. E. Brown, 3rd Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 12th January, 1942.

Major (temp.) R. C. Hollis, M.C., N.Z. Temporary Staff, is struck off the strength of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is reported to the N.Z. Temporary Staff with the rank of Major (temp.), and is appointed Officer Commanding, No. 4 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 6th January, 1942.

Major S. H. Gould is struck off the strength of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, dated 6th January, 1942, is reported to the N.Z. Temporary Staff with the rank of Major (temp.), and resumes the appointment of Area Officer, Area No. 6, Wanganui, dated 7th January, 1942.

Major J. A. Jull is struck off the strength of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is posted to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 22nd January, 1942.
