The Ashburton Bread Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Ashburton Bread Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.
THE ASHBURTON BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
"The district" means the area of the Ashburton Borough and the Ashburton County :
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport :
"Wholesale purchaser" means either—
(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in weight ; or
(b) A hospital.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee as follows :—
Ashburton Bread Delivery Committee
(a) One member to be appointed by the Ashburton Borough Council ;
(b) One member to be appointed by the Ashburton County Council ;
(c) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme ;
(d) The Zoning Officer for the South Island.
(3) (a) The members to be appointed to the committee by the Ashburton Borough Council, the Ashburton County Council, and the parties to this scheme under clause (2), shall be appointed as soon as may be after the coming into force of this scheme.
(b) Any committee member appointed by the respective Councils or parties, as the case may be, may in like manner be removed from office.
(4) Any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, may resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
(5) On the death, resignation, or removal from office of any committee member, other than the Zoning Officer, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(6) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme in the district, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(7) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(8) It shall be a condition of this scheme that a party to the scheme shall deliver bread only to the wholesale purchasers allotted to him as provided in clause (9) of this scheme.
(9) The names and addresses of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the wholesale purchasers to whom they may deliver bread are as follows :—

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 83).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 83) by deleting therefrom the words "permanent employees engaged wholly or substantially in the manufacture of flour, wheatmeal, wholemeal, oatmeal, or any other product for human consumption resulting from the milling of wheat or oats," and by substituting therefor the words "the manufacture of flour, wheatmeal, wholemeal, oatmeal, or any other product for human consumption resulting from the milling of wheat or oats in respect of permanent employees, including clerical and administrative staff."

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 122).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 122 by adding thereto, after the words "in Public Schools," the words "and including also teachers employed in Registered Private Schools."

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Declaration of Essential Industry (No. 123).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the electrical industry, in respect of all workers employed on work that comes within any of the classes of work specified in the Northern Industrial District Electrical Workers' award, the Taranaki Industrial District Electrical Workers' award, the Wellington Industrial District Electrical Workers' award, the Wellington Industrial District Electrical Workers' (on ship work) award, the Marlborough, Nelson, Westland, and Canterbury Industrial Districts Electrical Workers' award, the Otago Provincial District Electrical Workers' award, and the Southland Provincial District Electrical Workers' award to be an essential industry for the purposes of those regulations.
